Lichen sclerosus newbie with so many questions....

Hello I'm 41 and have just been diagnosed with LS. I have so many questions. I have been reading the forum and found it to be very helpful. If anyone can take the time to help me I would appreciate it so much.
I have read moisturiser is key. What moisturiser would you recommend? and how often?
To swim do I need to apply anything? I've heard paraffin?
Should i stop doing spin fit?
Do you all cut out the food you shouldn't eat? like spinach and potatoes etc
Just out of interest does anyone who has this condition have psoriasis? I do, and just wondering if they are linked
Ive seen a lot of chat about olive oil. when should this be used?
The doctor has given me shower cream, ointment, steroids and a cream for Flare ups.
thanks in advance to everyone.

HI,
I use Yes moisturiser every night after a shower. Not the lubricant, make sure it is the moisturiser, it has no nasties in it. I use the Dermovate ointment at the moment twice a day as I am having a flare up due to stress. I have had LS since 2016 I am post meno being 56. I have now due to late diagnoses which took about eleven visits to different people developed fusing. make sure you use the steroid especially when you have a flare up and gently rub it in for some time, 90 seconds id recommended I think. If you enjoy spin fit then do it, I cycle about eighty miles per week, i didnt give it up as I love it but bought a few cut away saddles which has stopped the pressure on my bits. if I gave what I love up it would do my health more harm, eat in moderation, life is too short. i havent used olive oil but if you discover a moisturiser that suits I would use that I can imagine olive oil to be very messy. one thing bad for me is stress it seems to cause a flare up. The fact I feel I have to keep the problem to myself doesnt help. You will feel alot better reading some threads on here and less alone. x
