Lichen Sclerosus or herpes lesion (graphic picture)

Hey, so I have herpes and lichen sclerosus. I've never had typical herpes symptoms and both diagnoses can cause lesions so I'm trying to determine what's causing it. I've noticed this today, it was extremely itchy but this afternoon it's really sore. Does this look like a herpes lesion? It was never a blister to begin with. Thanks in advance!

Hi Emily since you have both can I ask why it is important to you to know what is this if it is gonna be either of them?

Because one is contagious and the other isn't and so I can use appropriate treatment. I am unable to get checked during lock down. I also think it's important to be able to recognise symptoms for a condition you have.

Btw i am assuming that you know that if you are herpes positive you will be contagious and can spread the virus even when you do not have any symptoms because you can still shed the virus at any time.

Yes I am aware and my partner and I know the risks and he is willing to take it however, we also know that transmission is most likely when sores are present.
