Lichen Sclerosus POSSIBLE HELP

Posted , 4 users are following.

I just want to say that while I always have and still do adhere to the western conventional medicine and advice given by my dermatologist, he did encourage alternative medicine in conjunction with this.

I found a wonderful guy in London that is an Osteopath, Naturopath & Practitioner of Chinese Medicines. It is only since I started seeing him too, in conjunction with my normal dermatologist appointments that I started to experience a drastic improvement in my condition.

He has put me on a special diet cutting out all foods he refers to as "hot" and in my weekly appointments with this Osteopath he puts acupuncture needles in me while he performs cranial/shoulder/neck type massages.

I used to be the biggest cynic but since combining his expertise along with my conventional dermatologist appointments, only now am I seeing HUGE improvements.

I am at the stage now that I have stopped using the steroid creams and I just wash with E45 WASH and moisturise morning and night with E45 CREAM.

This has really worked for me and I only hope it works for you with any luck.

My best wishes and please believe this can get better.

What are some of these hot foods? I have always been into natural remedies and I cannot stand taking medication, so I'm hoping to eventually be off of the meds. I've always been interested in the raw/vegan lifestyle, but am currently vegetarian (for animal reasons not necessarily health). I'm reading up on this so im curious what they are having you do. Thanks!!

This is not an exhaustive list but what i've jotted down from my appointments with the Osteopath over the last several weeks.  Worth noting that he acknowledges that alot of these foods are actually very good and in some cases some are super foods, but for the purpose of controlling the Lichen Schlorosis he has asked I stick to what he says for 12 - 16 weeks to reduce the heat in the body and allow the liver to work less hard.  He said it is not forever, just for 3 - 4 months to allow the body to heal itself.  But just this hot food component is only part of what's making me better, it's his accupuncture and the cranial/neck/shoulder manipulation he does in the appointments once a week that I truely beleive is helping:
