Lichen Sclerosus (WHITE PATCHES) PLEASE READ !!!!!!!!!

So lets talk about it! l know now that I am not the only young adult having to deal with this condition and the unappealing skin that comes with it!! I have had LS since I was young (im 21 now) and honestly what has bothered me the most about it was my appearance down there! like I am a natural caramel color and the lack of pigmentation down there just makes me feel so self conscious 😦 I used to think I would never have sex because of it which is very sad. I hope one day this condition will actually have a known cause and there will be a way to replenish pigmentation in affected areas. Anyways.. Im doing great now, Im in my last year of college pre-med in hopes to enter the medical field and study to help people with similar issues as my own. So far, life with LS has not been too bad. Let me know what you guys think or if anyone feels the same! I attached some pictures of my affected area !! I've come such a long way and I'm learning to embrace my body the way it is !!!

Hey Audrey, Well congratulations to you for wanting to go to med school. We definitely need good doctors so wish you all the best. My question here, now is, What happened to your labia? How long have you had LS? You said since you were young (You're still young, believe me) so does that mean as a child?

      Hey eggbiscuit ,

And yeah I am still young lol but Ive had LS since I was like 9 or 10 years old . As for my labia its still there thankfully I just scribbled it out in the pic and also the second picture I was bending over which made it kind of harder to see and its kinda tucked into my vag lips. How about you? if you have LS, how is it going for you in regards to dealing with the condition?

Wow, since you were 9 or 10....Hard to believe. Obviously it wasn't a menopause problem. I have had this about 2 and 1/2 years, seen several "doctors" most of whom don't even know what this is. I cannot sit well at all but the parts are all there.. No doctor knows what I should do so I read medical journals to try to figure it out. Seems like the consensus is that it is an auto immune problem but why...? Chinese believe it is liver dampness which means excessive stress. I've tried everything under the sun. Currently using a baking soda/borax spray after going to the bathroom. Coconut oil helps too. I'm still researching.
