Lichen sclorosis

I had my punch biopsy on both sides as an out- patient procedure in the hospital and was just uncomfortable for one week. After 5 days I used a homemade 50/50 solution of Sterle water and hydrogen peroxide on my two punch areas when I saw my stiches had almost dissolved. I personally did not feel 100 % clean so it made me feel fresh. I poured the liquid into a dollar store YETI POT container. I then poured it on the area while in the shower. I go back to the Doctor in one more week for a follow up appointment. My biopsy did reveal lichen sclerosus. I am just now starting out with this, very sad that I learned there is no cure and flare ups will happen the rest of my life. I hope to get a cream prescribed to me in a week at my follow up appointment, the punch areas have to heal first. GOOD LUCK LADIES and remain positive. I hope I can swim again soon and continue to work out since I live in Florida.

Hello Sabrina, don't be sad, it is Ok to live with LS even though you have bad

times. I have read that some people have a really bad time with swimming

but we are all different and although I have both LS and LP, I have always

been OK with chlorinated water. I swim 3 times a week. I always apply a good

layer of white soft parafin before hand and shower immediately after with

Dermol shower. You will discover what works for you but can usually find

a way around the things you love to do. Take care.
