I had a total hysterectomy 2 years 4 months ago and my HEALTH HAS NOT BEEN THE SAME!! Seems as though I pass by people who are sick and I get sick, my IMMUNE SYSTEM IS SO WEAK! I load up on vitamin C, emergency with vitamin C, apple cider vinegar, turmeric , B 12 tablets, B 12 shots, multi-vitamin , and it seems to be working and BOOM OUT OF NOWHERE I'M SICK! Mostly stomach bugs/viruses, which are MURDER ON MY STOMACH AND DIGESTIVE SYSTEM...I LITERALLY GET TIRED OF BEING SICK!! Sicknesses that others recover from in 2-3 days may take me 2-3 weeks to recover from...COLDS VIRUSES BUGS
Not to mention other unexpected AFTER MATHS DUE TO THE SURGERY...
FATIGUE
SLIPPING OF THE HIPS
BOWEL ISSUES
INTESTINAL ISSUES
DIGESTIVE ISSUES
EARLY IN BLADDER INFECTIONS( I HADN'T HAD ONE IN A WHILE)
ACHING SWELLING JOINTS
ELBOWS AND KNEES

I understand my hysterectomy was 15 months ago. Sciatica in both legs for over a year and has just now started to feel better.
Kidney infections, vaginal infections from e coli which I am scheduled with a urogyn to see if I fistulas which can cause stool to leak in your vagina. My bladder has prolapse
My legs swell I Have hip and back pain.
I have to take birth control to keep from growing cyst on me ovaries( kept ovaries only)
I Have a mass in my pelvic which I was told is my tube which was supposed to be taken out my report even said they were taken.
My hysterectomy was caused by a novasure ablation which caused blood to pool up in my uterous and caused a infection, my doctor said I HAD ibs and needed to change my diet she didnt even want to do a ultrasound to see why I WAS in so much pain. I had to throw a fit.
MY life and body has completely changed, not much desire for sex. The doctors try to make it like its my fault for my health problems even though I know they caused it. Now with medical debt I Still feel bad and I have to fight for myself to figure out why I am sick

misty10444 I am so SORRY to hear of all of your pain and suffering...
My hysterectomy was due to having severe menstrual symptoms daily, multiple cycles per month, or symptoms and no cycle, heavy bleeding, no bleeding, it was a constant merry go round. Even though the surgery rid me of those issues and I feel like a new person in that regard it left me with other issues....
It has been two and half years since my surgery and I have not had sex but that part of my body seems to still be alive and active...LOL
I PRAY THAT YOUR BODY IS TOUCHED BY GOD'S HEALING GRACE!

nursesally I can not say that I am not glad that I had the surgery, based on what I was experiencing and what I go through now the two CAN NOT COMPARE... I have not attempted any form of hormonal therapy as of yet, two and half years later. I am learning the tricks of the trade....

i had a total hysterectomy 15 months ago. I've been experiencing joint pain ever since. I NEVER put the 2 together til now. Another disater is my sexual desire. Before my surgery i used to love sex. Now i could live without it. Is anyone else in the same boat?

mary91188 The joint pain is the result of the surgery causing low hormone levels, which makes us prone to osteoarthritis. Not to mention the fact that our bodies shift to adjust to the missing parts of the reproductive system being removed. All of the organs lean and depend on one another and all have there own space and once those spaces or empty the remaining organs have to find a new partner and space and the body drops due to the missing parts...
Two and half years later, I still have not had sex, however those parts still seem to be awake..LOL

welshgirl167 Hello, I will be on the look out for the manuka honey, thanks for the tip.
After continuing to research the surgery, seeking answers to some of the questions I had, I found that the surgery is prone for compromising the immune system due to disruption of the body's anatomy, as the hormones are lessen so or other natural entities in the body.
