Life after TURP

Hi everyone, a few questions if i may, ive suffered from bph for some years now , started in my 40's but as usual i sort of lived with it , went on all the alpha blockers but refused finasteride due to side effects, this eventually led to complete retention when i was 50, so the catheter appeared for a year until i saw my consultant who said a TURP was the best option, i went for trials for the eurolift but no good for me, i was told 3-4 weeks from referall , nothing came, into the new year and despite various phone calls got no where, Covid hit us and in the Feb got a pre op, but was cancelled , now for the next 2 years i rang , left voicemailes , got told i was removed from the list ? that i'd turned it down , that i needed to keep ringing to get my name back on the list etc etc , 2 complaints to Pals, and finally got surgery on the 22nd feb , surgeon had to operate with another urine infection i didnt know i had, and had to remove 75% of the prostate said it was 50g! so the question is, i am considering a claim for delayed treatment as i've been told i'll probably have some erectile dysfunction, the obvious one , retrograde ejaculation, and possibly some incontinence , i'm only 56 so looking bleak, i can pee again but i think its there just for that now , nothing else, considering i would have had a large prostate when examined i would have thought i'd be a bit more priority due to age etc, instead of being left for over 2.5 years while it grew and grew , surgeon said it was huge !!a bit of advice as to where i go now would be great , also i know covid delayed thousands of ops and feel sorry for those that suffered but i also suffered , and i think i only got surgery after pals said if i drop the complaint ill get surgery ,
