Light a candle for all in patient.info

I started this light a candle group for this website and everyone in it who's suffering from illness. 

It would be nice if between us all we can keep at least one candle burning all the time. Each candle burns for 48 hours and we can add our initials and a message.

    georgia funny i was thinking along simulair path yesterday after you told me about that pray experiment .

    do we have a national pray day . if not would be good to start one everyone of like mind at a certain time on a certain date could take an hour or so to sit quite and meditate or pray .together . that would be amazing for the planet i am sure .

      Wow yes! eek I don't know if there's a national or international prayer day but it'd be really great if there was one. We'll have to find out.

      There's the International Day of Prayer for Peace on the 21st September, which is also the United Nations Day of Peace. And there's and the Global Day of Prayer, 24th May, and some others. There's a women's one that we missed in March.

      I just put the Global Day of Prayer in my diary, doesn't guarentee I'll remember it though!

    Hello Georgia,

    What a lovely and kind thought of yours,we could most certainly do this. I started my prayer group in order for something like this .Sadly not had many people coming in .

    That could be used in the way a candle could.In as much as perhaps we could arrange a time that would be suitable for us all, to join together with each other ,and feel free to say a prayer of their own choice,or a lovely verse.you know something like that . It would not be something to brain wash anyone ,or to try and change their own beliefs,what do you both think and feel about this ?

      If you go to the chatroom Georgia then scroll down the list till you get to near the bottom of the page you will come to ,a prayer group for all ...Etc

      you will be there ,it would be lovely having you come in there Georgia

      I too missed your initiative Milly. Today I am particularly in need of our group around me both in our symbolic candles and our loving prayers.

      Are men welcome too? I am unusual in my understanding of the Bible. Yet from that understanding my confidence is in the faithfulness of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

        Since Milly is versifying perhaps I may add my contribution. I hope none of us will need such for yet awhile.

      How beautiful George,and yes of course you and other men in our little group  are very welcome .

      In fact I would go so far as to say any male who feels the need to such a group is very welcome too.In what way are you unusual in your understanding of the Bible George?

      Almost no one agrees with me, especially the theologians. Still it is not for me to force my understanding on others. One of my understandings is that we have only one teacher, Jesus Christ by his Holy Spirit. He does the teaching in his own way and at his own pace. I am content with that, for me and for all.

      Goodmorning George,

      I wholeheartedly agree with you ,in that we don`t ever try and force our own beliefs onto anyone else at all in any way shape or form.

      I wholeheartedly agree with you in as much as that we have only the one Teacher.He is the son of our Father God our Creator,and he is our one and only Savior.

      As you so rightly mention George,it is my belief too that he does things for us ,and not always in the time or ways we pray for. He does them yes ,but it is in his own time and in his own way .

      These are all my own beliefs and I won`t ever try to force them onto anyone else,what I am willing to do is to listen to the beliefs of other people,with respect,and so I expect the same respect back from those same others I have shown respect to.
