Light at the end of the tunnel ....

Hi Guys,

Thought I'd update you on some positive things that have happened rather than all the bad things we've been through together on this site.

1. My daughter's wedding. It was the most perfect day. I wore heels (they killed me but not because of my knee!). Danced all night - no problem with knee but was a little stiff the next day but nothing to complain about.

2. The went on holiday to Portugal. That was lovely - flight was ok but set the security alarms off which was funny. The sun worked wonders for my knee but swimming felt a bit funny at first.

3. Works summer party. This was held on boat with a disco and I stood all night and danced for a good couple of hours. Again knee felt stiff but not really painful.

So after I moaned and groaned at the beginning (I'm now 5 months post tkr) I can honestly say I'm glad I had it done and I wondered if I would ever say that!! So there's hope for us all!!!

Have a great weekend whatever you are doing and remember - never let it beat you!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ xxx

I'm looking forward to setting the alarms off! Β glad you have your life back. there is a time when you think it will never happen, but at six months my knee is quite good too . . Unfortuantely, both ankles are now agony, but hope to sort that out as well!

Oh no ... hopefully that's just a blip and your ankles will get back to normal soon. πŸ˜‰

I get some very funny and strange looks as all 5 joints set the alarms going.Β

    Glad it's all going well.

Is an ankle amoung your five replacement joints? Β I'm thinking I may be needing that soon . . . .Β

Is actually really scary as I travel a lot and every airport is different, the worst one is Kuala Lumpur and Heathrow ....

obviously a letter and X-rays are of no use, as they can be copied and forged. ....and I'm happy to go into the body scanner...or be frisked I'd rather that knowing my flight is as safe as it can be nothing is perfect.Β

I always get a huge pat down in Vietnam, Australia Singapore. That's Β how Β it should be, but they do look slightly astonished when I tell them.

Blimey you are a seasoned traveller!!

I agree would rather have the scan and be frisked than risk it especially in these troubled times!!

      Enjoy your travels!!
