Light bladder leakage

Hi ladies

Since my cystocele and rectocele repair 3.5 weeks ago I've had bladder issues which I have posted here before. I have also noticed I also have bladder leakage and need a panty liner throughout the day and night. I didn't have this problem before my surgery. Anyone else experience this?

Thanks 🙄

    Hi, Kym,

I am 3 months post op anterior and posterior repair with urethra lift and hernia repair. I had no incontinence at all before my surgery.  I had severe bronchitis for about 6 months or so and one night literally coughed my bladder out.  (Turned out my bronchitis that would not go away was really a heart blockage but that is for another forum...haha) Since I had no leakage before, I am not sure if that is why my bladder got back into routine with no problem or not. I do remember, however, that  my doctor did tell me to wear the pad because there could be leakage, passage of blood or discharge. I wore the pad but had none of those issues. I do think it might be a good idea to check with your doctor since every surgery is different for each individual as well as the recovery is different for each person. I know this has to be discouraging for you since you had leakage before your repair and do imagine you expected that problem to be gone.

Hang in there and definitely praying this leakage will fade  away as your bladder gets back into the routine. Hugs to you , Kym!!
