Light period

Hello ladies.. Has anyone experienced having your period come and it be VERY light ? My body is going through the motion but the flow is concerning. I'm 45 years old and have symptoms of perimenopause.

Not sure what to do, please share to help ease my anxiety

Hi Latrina, yes...my period has been very light for about a year. Sometimes I only use a panty liner. It is coming closer together too...anywhere from 21-25 days. I hear that when they get closer together it is like your body screaming that the shop will be closing soon. I have missed them too...57 days is the longest I have gone without a period. I am 41. Been in peri since 38.

the one thing that I can say is that there is no normal as you are in peri ! i would skip a month and then bleed for 2 weeks, get a break for a few days and bleed again light, heavy all over the place very normal

Yes, sounds totally normal. Mine went very light and short for quite a while and then stopped completely. I am 48 this year.

Hi, it sounds very much like you are reaching menopause. It is quite normal for periods to be closer together, then heavy, miss periods and then have very light flows until they stop altogether. My very last period was very light, pinkish and then I never saw one again after that although sometimes I feel a few of the old pre menstrual type symptoms, but nothing significant. All the best.

Thanks for all the responses. It has calmed me ALOT. I always think the worst, and was so worried for nothing. I can now add light period to my long list of woes about perimenopause..

I'm so grateful for this forum. I hope you ladies have a wonderful weekend 😊
