Light spots in vision that wont go away

Hi, am hoping to get some answers from you guys because this is driving me crazy.

Since November last year I have had a light in my right eye, similar to an after burn when looking at something like a light bulb, its pear/teardrop in shape. Then more recently it's changed in the respect it looks like wavy coloured lights 'sometimes' ...and as of yesterday it has moved from my right far side vision, which I had learned to just ignore, to my central vision and has doubled, its like there are two of these light shapes mirrored.

They aren't there when I close my eyes after a few seconds they fade into black, thank goodness. The optician cant see anything remarkable. Any ideas? Now its in the centre of my vision its causing me problems with reading and its making me feel a little off balance and nauseated. Thank you in advance. Tracy x

Tracy if you are in UK get a copy of your opticians report and go see your GP. You may get referred to an ophthalmologist. Did you have a fields test at the opticians? Dont ignore this problem just because your optician cant see anything wrong. Eyes are so precious.

Thank you, I will give them a call on Monday ( yes I'm in the UK ) I did have a fields test I think, is that the wee dotty lights thing? I missed some where the pattern is, I dont kno what to call this thing in my eye? I've spent hours looking around the internet but cant find anything like my issue. I am diabetic and I'm pretty awful at keeping my sugars down, in fact this lockdown I've literally not bothered with it at all, but the retinopathy doesnt seem to match it either. I was given a grid to map if it changed at all and it changed the next day. Thanks again for the reply, I will update x
