Lightheaded/dizzy

Hi

For about six months I have had almost consent lightheadedness. It is hard described but I think some people would say brain fog. Some days are better than others. It hasn’t stopped me doing anything but it’s just making everyday a little bit harder and uncomfortable. I have been to the doctors 3 times and also seen an ent specialist, had blood tests and nothing seems to be wrong. I have had a bad neck for years and suggested this to my doctor who thinks it could be a possible cause, so I am going to see a sports massage specialist at the weekend. Just wondering if anyone else has found that neck problems are the cause? Thanks for any advice

Yes tour neck could be the issue. I would go to a cervical chiropractor. They can see if your C1 or C2 is out of place. Don't go to an regular chiro..it needs to be a cervical one. Google C1 neck issues and dizzy to read up on some info.

Might be a neck related issues, Other side this issues can cause by anxiety related, Some years ago i was felt like unbalanced, fog view, feeling like fall, faint most of the times because of less sleep, fear stress in business plus alcohol, smokes  Its difficult to find the reasons, And i did ENT Test, All blood tests, and many more All are fine & normal, Finally i went psychiatrist and explained he clearly said its a Anxiety, cause by lack of sleep, stress, problems at business, fear, alcohol etc, As his advise i quit smoke, alcohol, negative thinking, fear etc, After some months i came back to normal, No i am ok & great, So drop if you have alcohol abuse, smoke habits, Think positive, leave fear,

Many thanks for your replies and advice. Anxiety was also suggested as a possible cause so hopefully it will resolve in time.

    Thanks again

My cousin solved the brain fog problem completely when he realized his alcohol consumption was depleting his vitamins, mineral , nutrients etc....and that deficit was creating havoc in his health ,including brain fog , so he resolved by drinking to a minimum and taking multi vitamins-minerals supplements daily , it took him about a month to get balanced again.

Brain fog comes for different reasons though so you have to find your cause.

I think you should see a neurologist.  Doesn't sound like the vertigo I've been experiencing.  But seeing a Nuero and ENT is the best place to start.  Regular PCP really don't know much. Do you notice headaches when you have your brain fog- I ask because I had brain fog with my vertigo and only started realize how many headaches I had when the fog started to lift.

    Hi

Thanks for other replies. I don’t have many headaches with this but feel like I have tried almost everything

Eye test was pretty much all fine, they did prescribe 0.75+ glasses which I think is near on perfect vision so I doubt it’s to do with my eyes

I tried a sports massage last weekend, maybe a long shot but that hasn’t helped at all

I’ve been to ent and they didn’t find anything

I had blood tests and nothing haha

The only thing left is maybe a brain issue ? Or anxiety which is sort of hard to believe it can cause these feelings

I think I may have to go back to the doctors but don’t think they can do anything else for me? Any other advice I really appreciate

    Thanks

Consider your neck as the issue. It took my 8 yrs of feeling spaced out to find what I think is my trouble.

    Hi rock solid

Did you actually get better after working on your neck issue?

    Thanks

It is getting better but I have been a mess for a long time so it will take a while for me to get back to normal. My chiropractor explained it like this. the C1 and C2 is where the nerves from your head go down to the spinal cord. If you look at a picture you can see this. If your C1 or C2 or messed up then the nerves are getting pinched or interfered with so it's not straight. Like a garden hose that you bend when it's on. the water does not flow right or at all. It will take time for my nerves to wake up and realize they are not pinched off.
