Lightheadedness and Feeling Faint

Hello ladies,

So yesterday I am sitting at the dinner table and out of the blue I get this feeling like I'm going to pass out. This was accompanied by a tingling in my legs and shaky hands. I didn't know what else to do, so I got up and walked around for a little bit and then I felt better. But shortly afterwards the same thing happened again when I sat down to watch TV. I took a few deep breaths, walked around, and it went away. Of course now I'm scared that it'll happen again. It's such an unnerving feeling.

I've been taking sertraline for my anxiety for over a year now. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Have a any of you ladies experienced anything like this?

Thank you.

Dana

yes it happens to me especially after my period. I'm sitting down and I'm feeling dizzy and I shake when I walk. I feel like I'm going to fall down the stairs 😕

      Hi Sandeep,

It's so scary. I feel like I'm not in control of my body. 😦 I just want to feel normal again! I can only hope that all of this doesn't last much longer for all of us.

      Take good care,

      Dana

me too I feel like I'm slowly dying and the Drs have missed something. This is so wrong I feel robbed of my 40s so far! 😔

Yes, absolutely. They say 40 is the new 30. I feel like for me 40 is the new 80. 😦

But we will all get through this. I'm praying that it doesn't last much longer for all of us!

I'm always at the Drs at least every other month as I don't want to assume its always perimenopause. Best to get it checked out as it settles my extreme health anxiety 🙃

      Hi Beth,

I know, it's so frustrating. All these crazy symptoms and no real help for us out there.

Hang in there! At least we know that we're not alone in this.

dana that was my very first symptom that happened to me while out in a restaurant eating , i suddenly thought i was going to pass out and had the tingles like you, this was 10 years in ago in 2011 and happened so often i stopped going out and had so many tests but no doctor said it was perimenopause but after finding this fantastic life saving forum i discovered other ladies were the same so its all part of menopause, try not to be afraid of it like i was as i made things worse. hope it dosent last long for you and the other ladies.

    take care all

      Hi Tracy,

Yes, it's like a vicious cycle with the anxiety. Every time I think I have my anxiety under control, I get a new symptom that sends my anxiety into overdrive.

      Thank you for your prayers.

Sending you prayers as well. We will get through this!
