Lightheadedness due to Sertraline or Anxiety?

Hi all,

I'm not sure if I'm experiencing these light headed/dizzy spells symptoms due to the sertraline or anxiety.  It seems to hit me most in the mornings and by the afternoon/evening times it fades away.  I also feel it if I turn my head quickly. I also wonder if it's due to fatigue or tiredness. This has been so fruatrating to try to figure out what is truely causing this. I've been on sertraline since late September so I feel like side affects should have passed by now. Do any of you deal with this?

This is exactly the same as me!! Wake up dizzy, my head goes funny if I move it to quickly to. I have been on 150mg for nearly 5 weeks. I think it’s a mixture of both anxiety and sertraline to be honest. Im waiting for the 12 week mark and if it’s still the same I’m going to the docs x

Yep sounds like we're having the same issue! I've been on 75mg because 100mg was making me SUPER dizzy. But I'm still feeling it on 75mg and I've been on that dose for 8 weeks now. But I'm afraid to try a new prescription because the side affects are so brutal! Will you please keep me posted? I'm curious to know if it goes away for you.

I will do hun. It’s scary being dizzy and not knowing what going on. It’s holding me down and keeping me anxious. Hope it goes away soon for us both x

Just try to remember that it's the medicine making you feel that way not you. Do the symptoms eventually fade or do they last all day? For me they usually fade but they always come back. It is an awful feeling. I'm going to look into more holistic and natural ways to help with anxiety. I will definitely keep you updated 😊. Hang in there!
