Hey everyone this is my very first post..
so i was recently diagnosed a little over a month ago and im still telling myself this isn't a death sentence.. but im still learning that..
heres a little bit about how my story goes, definitely started with the intense itching i remember it itched soooooooo bad. I thought i had a yeast infection. The next day i went to the er because i felt like i had litterally scratched myself raw & i saw the lesions i thought those are semi common with yeast infections.. the np did a full blown pelvic exam while im screaming and crying litterally.. didnt get aanything for pain as promised just tylonel to break the fever went dealt with this unbareable pain for five more days on my own with no relief.. went back to the hospital just weak and lethargic partially because i was diabetic & partially because of what was going on.. i wound up being hospitalized for five days in the icu the whole time.
THE PAIN WHILE PEEING OMGGGGG😵😵😵😵
My nurse and i were talking about our kids & she went to l and d and got me a "cleansing bottle" & supplies for a sits bath.
Got out went to a doc & started on 1gram of valteex daily
NOWWWW i have lightning crotch it hurts so bad & is still sooooooooooo hypersensitive. And then i got the diabetic nerve pain going on too so Im looking for any & every piece of advice i can get
Because i feel like im dyin
Ill sit on a heating pad under me or a ice pack on my womanly areas
Also just laid in the shower for a hour just letting the water do its thang while i laid there
But howwwww can i work thru this nerve pain/ chronic fire crotch

Have you consulted with a gynecologist? Herpes can take a while to settle after a bad first outbreak, but it's not normally so bad. Since your situation seems very painful, it might help to see a specialist to see if anything can be done or prescribed.

I havent seen a gyno yet. Ive been working with a nurse practitioner because i didn't have insurance ill get my insurance back in july.. but while all this happened i had a yeast infection & bacterial.. which they gave me meds for.. but she also gave me some gabopenton for the nerve related pain she told me what the condition was called but it slipt my mind. I just know its not fun.. it feels like electric shocks goin on down there

Probably vulvodynia, I'm guessing.

Honestly, I'm still learning myself to just accept that I have this virus. Unfornately, I had a dishonest guy I involved myself with who knew he had it for the past two years. The pain was terrible physically and emotionally for me. I know that warm baths helped and keeping anything warm in between my legs, like a heating pad. I know its not much but like I said I'm in the same boat as yourself.

Yes! Warm baths and the "cleansing bottle" with warm water or a heating pad. Thats like the only relief I ever get. I hate to sound so dramatic but its like damn its hard to look forward being in all this pain still after the original ob has gone away
