Hi NikkiHI exercise every day and have pain when I try to push through the bend. It comes from left side of knee and behind the knee. with limited bend is difficult getting off a bus, sitting on low toilets. Hope you heal soon also.

Hi Paddycakes, I so feel you. I had LTKR on February 2018. My ROM has been very limited since my surgery. I had in home therapy for six week, than went to therapy in May. Did all my exercises even in pool. Eleven months later( January 2019) I had an MUA. Continued with therapy till May 2019. But if I can get to 60º I'm a happy camper. So hopefully it'll be a lot better for you. Good luck and take care.

P.S I find it easier coming downstairs backwards.

Hi Chiva My surgery was May 2018 and my ROM was 85. after all physio and exercising still limited bend. my surgeon just asks about walking and sitting because he says it requires 90 degrees. I am around 100 but still knee is stiff. What was your measure that required a MUA?

Paddy, sitting down bout a 90º but laying down it was 65. But after the mua and the swelling went down if I was laying down with my leg straight when trying to bend my knee, behind my knee and the out side of my calf I could feel like something was stuck and I couldn't bend it. You would hear a loud pop and afterwards I could bend it.

Going to make an appointment with doc and see what's going on.

I had TKR 7 years ago.

    Had left TKR.

I still go up and down stairs one at a time like you but I think that is more to do with the fact that I have quite bad arthritis in my right ankle than anything to do with the left knee.
