Linx surgery for acid reflux

Has anyone esperienced this relatively new surgery for acid reflux which doesnt respond to drugs.
Or does anyone know anything about it. It is much es invasive than the nissen fondiplication op. done by day surgery I think. My gastro ent. didnt mention it but I thought I might investiage.just out of interest as a possible future option if all else fails. I am having so much trouble with side effects from
drugs and not much effect on my acid reflux either still getting reflux at night and quite sore throat.
Any comments welcome.

I'm in Devon and I had the linx procedure 2 weeks ago.
It took about a year before I was
Able to have this operation.
Where are you in the UK ?

I'm in such a state with all this, I'm even fighting at the moment to get an endoscopy done, I think the docs think I'm exaggerating my symptoms, bit I really cant go on like this for much longer am so miserable, iv had to stop work as a busy hairdresser and my kids have lost their fun, lively energetic mum 😞 I think I have lpr reflux which is different to classic gerd as I get no heartburn is anyone else on here suffering with that?

I had my LINX three weeks ago and I've had some serious belching and weird sulphury burps. I had it for LPR and the symptoms are exactly the same which is dissapointing! Does anyone have any success stories regarding non-acid reflux and the LINX. When will my symptoms get better?? Is it after the scar tissue has put the LINX more securely in place? Wish you all the best of luck with your recoveries!

I have still got bloating and wind but
I'm hoping this will settle down soon.
I'm able to eat most foods now but
Every now and again something
Becomes stuck. Bread is worse.
Can I ask where did u have the Linx
Procedure.
Have u got a follow up appointment?

I am just curious, did your pre-operation tests show that you did not have acid reflux? My tests showed no acid and I have sent of a peptest to see if it is pepsin which is causing my throat and ear problems. I have been wondering if I would be a candidate for linx as I don't have acid reflux.

This is my first time on here, I have been a heartburn sufferer for years but more recently the acid erosion feeling under my voice box has got progressively worse. I have had 4 different types of ppi but the side effects have been awful. My GP has been next to useless I don't really want to go down the surgery route but the Linx system looks a good choice out of what look like a limited range of choices- I'm currently living off gaviscon and rennie but as a result of the reflux I have horrible headaches and constant pain!! I don't want to take meds for the rest of my life- any advice would be greatly appreciated
