Lip numbness or tingling

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hello,

It has been a couple of days I have been experiencing numbness and tingling on my lower lip. I don't want to panic and run to my GP.  And anyway to consult a doctor means I have to wait at least a week.

Is there anyone here who has this experience and what the cause(s) could be?  I haven't found much info online.

I am not sure if the title "Neurological Disorders" is the right one...

Thanks,

Molly (59)

You are in the right place, neurological, because of numbness or tingling.

It can be from allergic reaction to something you have eaten or chemical.

Sometimes, it is seen in poison ivy or oak.

Thanks.  I don't think I have eaten anything unusual or out of ordinary.

I am recovering from surgery and haven't been outdoors to be in touch with any plants either...  Thanks once again.  Grateful you replied.

      Hi rocky,

      Thanks for your reply.

      Sorry didn't see it earlier.

I think it was an allerrgic reaction to Sensodyne toothpaste.

Since I stopped using it the symptoms disappeared.

It is weird but  seems to be the case.

      Unless it comes back again.

Will let you know if I experience it again.

      Hope you are doing well.

      Good luck and best wishes,

      Molly
