Litchens Sclerosis

Thank you for accepting me into this group!

I was diagnosed with this autoimmune disease in 2014 after I had a cyst removed in the vagina.

Only found out this diagnosis after I was getting repeat "vaginal infections", the gynecologist thought it was scary tissue from the operation.

I went to see my GP as I was experiencing uncomfortable pain in the rear end. This made sense as I had a bout of diarrhea. when she took a look she said you need to go to the gynecologist because your skin doesn't look normal. There was fusing as well which she said was abnormal. This was in 2018. I never did return to the gynecologist who did the operation as I was not happy with the way I was cut.

When I went back to him he gave me the diagnosis and prescribed testosterone cream.

This never helped and I went to see 3 other gynecologists one of whom did a fresh biopsy and confirmed the disease. I have been on premarin and dovate since then. The flare ups are constant both back and front and internally.

I am thinking that I need to go on a diet to eliminate sugar and diary. Does anyone recommend foods for and against this condition. The disease is debilitating to say the least and has altered my life in a bad way. I turned 60 on 16 January and with menopause symptoms so bad and lichens I feel drained!
