last june i got my gallbladder removed after a very long wait. now i am having problems with my liver got rushed into hospital before Christmas to be told my liver is enlarged more tests got done and was told i had a few abnormalitys with my liver but still waiting to see the specialist. has anyone else had these problems? and if so what does it mean with the abnormality?

Hi is the abnormality as a result of the surgery? did u have normal liver function before surgery? have they mentioned that u may have stones that ha e blocked ducts, what were the sypmtoms??

Got a MRI when took back in as i thought it was trapped gallstones but came back clear but found that my liver was enlarged and test showed abnormalitys been feeling nauseas tired and diarrhoea. i had severe pain again sweating and sick just wish it was all over with been a horrible year with the gallbladder and now this. x

My heart goes out to you, I had my gallbladder out last June too after a very long wait, since then I still have a lot of pain, trouble eat any fat etc. Did they give you any clue to to why your liver was enlarged, was your pancreas affected? I am still waiting to see a gastro specialist, NHS so slow!! I think I had pancreatitis after my surgery but was not ill enough to be admitted to Hospital, as soon as I went back on the veg, no fat and water only diet I felt better🤔🤔

Thank you joanna, it's not a nice thing to go through i have a 4 year old son and was a struggle somedays i just couldn't move with the pain, doctors just kept feeding me pain killers which was tough as i couldn't eat lost over 3 stone telling me I'm fine as the wall wasn't swollen!! when gallbladder was removed it was full of multiple size gallstones. Yes that's who I'm waiting to see now been over 3 months and still no appointment. xx

Hi Linzi, hello everyone. Linzi where do you feel the pain? and was it like an everyday pain? comes and goes? what are all you symptoms if you don't mind asking. I experience severe pain on upper middle abdomen, sometimes i sweat with pain. I take Mylanta everytime i had an attack it will resolve after several minutes. I too get diarrhea, pain that radiates to back, sometimes nausea.
