Liver Enzymes

Posted , 4 users are following.

I've been going through perimenopause and it gets worse every year. when i do get my period, it's extremely painful and exhausting. I used to have very easy, 2 day, pain free cycles. in the last year, I've had slightly elevated liver enzymes and major abdominal pain. has anyone else experienced all around abdominal pain along with liver issues?

i feel my liver and general abdominal pain, from dull to sharp, but CT scans and biopsy show no issues. ugh.

thanks for listening

    Hi Jennifer,

Sorry you're having abdominal pain, it's hard to work around that, I know.

I have abdominal pain at my period, too. Whole gut burns.

Funny you should ask today, as I was in the ER on Wednesday, day 6 of my cycle, after several days of increasing pain, thinking my gallbladder was on the verge of rupture. Scans, bloodwork and no issue with gallbladder or liver or pancreas.

Doc said possibly viral gastritis or abdominal migraine.

My sister gets similar pain, but on the left side. Scans and bloodwork show nothing out of the ordinary.

Have you suffered with migraines in peri at all?

    Hugs,

    Sara

All of my peri symptioms started this past year, and twice now my liver enzemyes have been slightly elevated. Once when I went for my routine physical, and now just having a 6 month follow up showed the same results. I have pain in my lower stomach and I notice it most when I'm ovulating. Sometimes its really painful. I haven't addressed this with a doctor yet since I dont go back for anther few weeks. After reading this I wonder if its all peri related.
