Does anyone know if Gamma GT (serum gamma glutamyl transferase) blood test is a good indicator of liver health?

GGT can stay high for years from an EX-Drinker.

I have LFT's done every 6 months cos of a liver cyst found last year but this particular one isn't on the list and was reading something and it said Gamma GT was a good indicator.

Doctors really don't care about it... from what I know. Like I said, if you were an alcoholic, and then quit drinking, your GGT is still gonna be high a year later apparently. From what I know.
