Liver issues

Hi I recently had a few sessions of acupuncture and they mentioned that pain in certain areas that I was experiencing was indicative of my liver struggling and working too hard. He also said that there was a lot of heat from my body where my body is wasting a lot of energy. Does anyone know how these problems tend to be rectified? Does anyone suffer with the same?

My pains are usually worst at the tops of my legs in my wrist and certain fingers and ankles.

Unfortunately the acupuncture didn't make any difference to these symptoms so haven't continued with it.

Any advice would be great

I don't have pain like you do but a while ago I had a liver ultrasound and my liver was larger than it should be. My doctors told me that it is working too hard, that is why it is enlarged. They didn't consider it something that needed to be investigated, although I have to say that the doctors where I live are not top notch. If you speak to your doctor and tells you anything about it I would love to hear it. Take care.

Hi Alex sorry to hear that. Did they say what caused that for you? Or how to reduce the liver inflammation? Yes my doctors are the same, happy to point out problems but never have any suggestions for treatment!

Unfortunately they gave me no explanation. They didn't really see it as a problem because there were no other findings on my liver. They also didn't see any problem with my swollen lymph nodes as well so I don't really trust their opinion. But seriously,

I was told by the acupuncturist that often stress can cause the liver to solidify and a poor diet can also cause liver issues. Its frustrating when you feel all you do is try to avoid bad food and de-stress!

I had elevated liver enzymes show up on my last 3 blood tests. They said I had "nonalcoholic fatty liver disease" and suggested I do an ultrasound. I had it done and I'm supposed to get the results this week. I asked what could be done about NAFLD and they didn't have any answers (like I'm hearing everyone else say). This is scary because my diet is so limited and I've lost a lot of weight and my liver hurts. I've started seeing a naprapath (not naturpath) and I love him and hope he helps though he suggested aloe vera and it seemed to help in the beginning but then caused pain afterward. That's a common thing for me. My body is so sensitive. But I understand that comes from the liver being too toxic. I've heard coffee enemas are supposed to be the best thing you can do, but that's scares me too because a little caffeine will put me in the hospital!

Hi dianna I know how you feel I have so many food intolerances too. Its a nightmare isn't it. Strange how they do these investigations into liver issues but have no answers as to how it is resolved! ?
