LIVER PROBLEMS - ALANINE AMINOTRANSFERARE ALT

Posted , 1 user is following.

Dear community,

I recently got back to Denmark and I decided to make my regular blood check up and I figured out that I got some troubles with my liver.

The problem: I have 5 times the level of Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) level. It should normally be between 10 and 50 and I got 186. Please see the picture for details. Right now, there are times that I am feeling bloated and I don't know how to handle this situation

I have discussed with my doctor and after 2 sets of blood tests everything seems perfectly normal, apart from the ALT level. You can check my levels in the picture uploaded. She didn't gave me a precise answer of what is wrong with me.

3 things to mention . I have quit drinking and smoking at the beginning of the 2020 as a challenge for this year; (so I am 3 months sober and non-smoker). I never felt sick or had any sort of problems in my entire life. I exercise 3-4 times a week; i am 27 yo; I am 85 kg and 185 cm so pretty balanced weight and I am pretty active. I am vegetarian for over 3 years. Back in the days when I used to drink heavily and made my blood checks they always went perfect and now things have taken a wrong path....

What could be the cause of my liver problem? My doctor couldn't really give me an answer... especially now, I am afraid to go in hospitals and public places. (Just to mention I feel ok; i do sports and have no problems apart from being a bit bloated).

I am a very concerned with this matter, that's why I decided to seek answers also here.

Regards,
