Liver Problems Maybe??

I'm 39yo been trying to get diagnosed for 3 years. Now I'm being told to see someone about my liver. ALT has been above normal for over a year now and continues to rise. As a size 8 I dont think I'm that overweight. But every doctor has mentioned my fatty liver. I'm miserable most days now with the stomach swelling. It's unbearable because all the pressure I feel everywhere else. I can barely eat anything either. Sometimes the liver pain feels like Im being stabbed and other times my liver feels like its having a contraction. But I don't have the jaundice, however I do have itchy skin. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
