I had my liver resection April 23. I am very tired, nauseous, very sore but overall feel ok. I had my gallbladder out and 2 large liver cysts. Waiting on biopsy results now. Happy it is behind me .

I had my first resection 12 yrs ago with no issues at all. Had a hysterectomy end of January 2017. Within weeks I was very sick. Turns out I have Budd Chiari. I had a blood clot in my only hepatic vein out of my liver. I went ensephalopic and I was transferred to a transplant hosital an hour away. They put me on the top of the transplant list. While they were waiting they decided to do a side by side porta caval shunt. That seems to be working well. It was also discovered I have a blood disorder. I spent majority of the first 6 months in the hospital. A year later and a ton of meds sorted out I am feeling stable. Lots of fatigue, nausea, and confusion. I hope you continue to feel better and better each day.

Thanks ,I has a blood clot in my lung 6 months before my liver resection. They found my liver cyst through the CT scan they did to diagnose the clot. I had to wait 6 months for resection because I was on blood thinners. I am happy u r stable. This is so difficult. It helps to talk to others ,
