Location of pain - please advise

Hi,

I have had been told for years that I have excess stomach acid as I have pain in upper tummy but slightly to the right under ribs.

Omeprazole helps ease this.

As does eating and a milky drink so I’m sure it is acid.

It’s been getting a lot worse and now having tests etc to check.

Has anyone felt ulcer pain on the right rather than the middle?

The doctor is now thinking gallbladder but I’m certain it can’t be as my diet is very good.

Thanks in advance x

Hi Suzie, I had pain under right rib and had all the tests etc and they found mild erosive gastritis and hernia caused by acid. Unfortunately I only took a weeks worth of ppi and put up with the pain it’s now got worse 8 months on. I probably have an ulcer and am now on omeprazole.

How does food effect your pain?
