Locking fingers

I have been suffering with locking middle and ring finger on my right hand for several months where to unlock my fingers is so painful leaving me with a pain in the joints.

I am unable to make a fist or type properly without the fingers locking again.

However I think I have found a solution and a possible cause.

This has started since I have been going to bed early to watch TV in the cold winter evenings and has meant I am in a different and less natural position in bed with my head bent slightly forward.

This in turn has put more pressure on the middle of my back and neck.

I have found by leaning backwards over an arm of a chair or top of a stair I get a stretching relief which in turn appears to click my back/virtabrates back in place and quite often with a jolt. But straight a way the pressure in my fingers is reduced.

It may not be very scientific but I am certain the cause of trigger finger is related to my back.

I hope this helps someone and maybe even helps a chiro or doctor to find a permanent cure
