London in April

Is anyone still up for it? Weather and health permitting of course?

Trouble is, we could arrange it and then have it all fall apart on the day because people cannot cope with it.

Do you think it is a wise or foolish project?

I'm really not quite sure Alicia :? ...... but I'm probably being negative because we have all felt so awful lately. I've also cancelled my London dental appointment three times now as I have just not been up to travelling ..... but will [b:4e57bec730]have[/b:4e57bec730] to go next week to finish my treatment sad

What does anyone else think? Maybe if we reviewed it when we all feel on top of things again ......? (that's me trying to be positive  )

    Not sure either Alicia :?

I love the idea but it would be a 5 hour one way journey for me so it would be very difficult to commit -- especially the way I feel at the moment

Never say never though, we might make it

i soooo want us to do it, but on the other hand i dont want it to turn in to something that's going to stress people out :?

i find just getting in to town really difficult, so god knows how everyone would make the trip here... i really wish i had a big house and you could all just come and stay with me :D

in summary, id be really keen to do it but understand that it is a huge undertaking. the only thing i can think of that might work is if everyone stayed in the same hotel/b&b but that of course means expense that will be beyond many of us...

any other suggestions on how this might work?

Oh dear - I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere but don't feel well enough to work it out

I feel the same as the rest of you - it's a lovely idea in theory but....... I have friends who live near London who I keep having to cancel, and if I [b:435364c84f]do[/b:435364c84f] get up there at some point I'd have to see them and also would have to get to Harrow for psych appt.

I'm hopeless (as I think we all are) at having things planned in advance.

I'm already panicking because I think I've got to go to a wedding (cousin) in Suffolk ( ) in August

    Yeah - silly idea anyway.

It'd work in cloud cuckoo land.

No, it's a lovely idea Alicia; just wish we were all well enough to do it :boing: :run:

For now we'll carry on being cyber-buddies  :ok:

Right girls .... panic over

I know exactly what you mean about panicking in advance Daisy ...... some really good friends of ours keep suggesting a day trip to France - they would happily do all the organising and driving ...... I think they really genuinely [b:a49988a96d]do[/b:a49988a96d] want to get me out and away for a super duper day ..... but I'm doing all I can to make excuses sad

I would love to go but know I will be worrying non-stop before hand about not feeling well, and also the certainty that I definitely will feel unwell for several days afterwards sad

ME saps all our confidence :wah:

I would love nothing more than meeting all you lovely people. The thing about it is the worry, organisation and expernive of ot all, thats without the 4 or 5 hour long train journey. But you never know what the future holds.
