Long term burning and chronic itching, lots of tests but no answers! Help!

my story starts about 1 year ago when i went for my 1st smear. i am 31 now. i had previously never had issues with down there, i was in a long term relationship, we split up around 4 years ago now. i had started having casual sex with trusted people around 2 years ago and never had an issue until just before my smear. i told the doctor about my itching and they did other tests and i had trich, to which i had some anti biotics and i went for full sexual screening and got the all clear. my smear result come back i have HPV.
so for the last year and a half of my life ive had chronic itching on my labia, which i think i have damaged. you can see redness around it and its leaving little wounds. my labia skin has changed too, feels weaker and theres like lines or saggyness i didnt have. the itching is so bad it keeps me awake. i am now using sudocrem which eases it slightly.
i am so frustrated and sad with it as everyone is telling me im alright, ive met someone too and i don't feel i can be sexually active with him. i am worried its lichen or cancer. anyone know of anything like this? i am at my wits end!

i have been to the doctors and diagnosed with lichen simplex.. I've used a very potent prescription steroid cream for the symptoms.. she did mention the bumps from shaving and said that my itching them is what caused them to look like that. i have changed razors and so far so good! so thank you

This is an easy shave burn. Has nothing to do with lichen or hpv. Change blades more often and disinfect with Octenisept. Especially after shaving.
All the best

Oh ok, sorry, didn't look like it in the pictures. I hope You are fine. With lichen comes a bunch of new information right away. I wish you all the best anyway and that you get on well with it.

This kinda looks like allergies to me, i have allergies too and that's what it looked like before changing body wash and shaving cream for good, do you use shaving cream? what body wash do you use? You could also try to use a basic soap, if the itching stops then you're allergic to one of the components in either the shaving cream or body wash. If you take baths frequently you should start taking showers more often.
For the time being try using a hydrocortisone numbing cream or just any numbing cream , it'll help with itching .
