Long Term Condition

Hello,

I have a been suffering with a long term condition on the head of my penis. I cannot lie I have been very sexually active, I have had hundreds of partners, but I never had any issues because I was always using protection. about 4 years ago I had a traumatic breakup and went into a depressive state. I was hooking up with random girls and one day I woke up with some spots on my penis, later I started to get different small rashes and akin problems on my scalp finger nail, and around anus they all h ave different characteristics. doctors simply labeled me as having psoriosis, which I dont believe. Different dermatologists have been boggled by my condition and have had a hard time diagnosing it. Most recently, doctors have called it intertrigo, bacterial infection, balanitis, and so on. I am uncircumcised and I use an elastic band to keep the foreskin back which has been a life saver and signigicantly improved the quality of my life and skin condition. The only things that work on the skin at this time are protopic and fucicort. the condition completely goes away for some time and randomly will get worse. I met a woman I really like and she gets tested all the time and said she was perfectly fine after our first encounter, it was mu first time having unprotected sex in a long time since we are dating now. Having unprotected sex actually helps the condition, i have no idea how that works but I was using medicines until the last minute before she came to visit me and i had sex for 5 days straight with no issues at all. as soon my penis is dormant or i masturbate instead of sex the condition comes back. She recently complained that she has systitis after our last encounter and it burned when she peed. her std test were negative. I had HPV35 a long time ago but have since been cleared. I had no visible signs of HPV or warts etc. If I use moistarizer etc the glans become red. In the begining of this condition I panicked and used so many steroids, momentesone, dermovate, elocom, protopic, etc etc basically nuclear bombing the penis with meds initally steroids were working. recently I did Kambo, Ayurveda and most recently PUVA light therapy which helps to some degree. the doctor who does the light therapy says they deal with psoriosis every day and doesnt believe this fits the bill. recently I have been diving deeper into my health and have found that I have some bacterial overgrowth in my small intestine and have had some mild digestive problems. I have cleaned up my lifestyle and diet which has helped the severity of the conditions but of course has not gotten rid of them. I'm going to share pics from 4 years ago when this first happened. And share pics of today. Hoping you can help 🙏😌

And here are pictures of the condition in the last week. On one side, the redness and inflammation is one spot which is under the skin, which becomes red but does not create any thing on skin surface. On the other side I get little spots on the outside of the skin which flake off and just remain red. Protopic or Fucicort remove them, but then they come back all the time.

    Hi,

Have you been tested for HSV1 and HSV2?

I have similar situation, using Protopic 0,1%, went away and all of a sudden returned. Rash gets more visible after heat or friction exposure. Uncircumcised, no pain, no discharge, no itch, just red spots appearing randomly on the glans.

Did this start after any unprotected oral sex?

My situation appeared 26 days after unprotected oral.

I have been tested for HSV1 & HSV2 and fully negative for all STDs except I had HPV back in the day which is clear now. What was your findings and diagnosis so far? How long have you been suffering with this?

My condition has been going for 5 months now. I tested positive for HSV1, but the doctor said its not genital related and said that was what was determined through the bloodtests.

All I know, the rash comes and goes, and is not bound to one specific area on the glans.

The redness varies and so the shape and size.

Using protopic, but seems the heat and or friction takes control.

Hi I did have an STD test for HSV2 / Genital Herpes, it was clear. Not sure if that would also cover HSV1 ?

Since it is an on and off condition, it will stay with you for a long period of time.

Stop using the steroid creams, they are known cause thinning of the skin.

Stop doing all the things you had been doing to treat this condition.

Wash it with a mild soap and water once or twice a week, and using plain lukewarm water the other days.

Use mustard oil or coconut oil to moisturise the glans once or twice a week. Also remember to moisturise before masturbating.

And that rubber band you are using for your foreskin, make sure that it is clean all the time and doesn't suffocate your penis.

Unprotected sex is the last thing you would want to do with someone except your wife. Use condoms every time.

      I have stopped steroid creams.

The only thing I still use is the band (which is disposable and I use new ones only), and then protopic whenever necessary.

Coconut oil irritates the skin and causes breakout, never tried mustard oil. Moisturizing before masturbating is not possible because all moisturizers / even emollients causes irritation.

When I'm having frequent set the condition completely goes away.

It's very weird, I need a correct diagnosis.

Can anyone still help so I can get a diagnosis. So far I have not had luck with the above comments and feedback. I did find the advice helpful but it still is a mystery condition which requires some clarity.
