I think it may be pomphylox which is a type of eczema. Although its eczema its often triggered by a fungal infection and also stress can cause it. You will need a moisturising cream...one based on oats is very good and also a fungal cream as well. One used for athletes foot may help. Use alternately during the day. If that doesnt help you need to see your doctor and/or a dermatologist for treatment based on a proper diagnosis.

Try to keep your hands away from detergents and nickel and if you use rubber gloves change them frequently, so they dont get sweaty/damp and smelly. Try to use those without flock lining.

plz see a derm for a diagnosis. the doc can take a small biopsy of the skin and make a prognosis and recommend treatment quickly . looks miserable. in the mean time cortisone creams OTC medication can help with the rash and Benadryl help itching.. even sprays for sunburn with antiseptic and numbing agent included can help until you see a derm. Wear cotton gloves with cortisone cream on hands at night to help the cream to work deeper in to sub layers of the skin. healing quality is greatly advanced using this treatment called occlusion.

it could be allergic reaction to foods or a plant in your garden touched like poison ivy sumac or stinging nettle.. definitely a reaction to something touched the area of your hands. cleaning chemicals or even pets. also see eczema or psoriasis.
