Posted , 4 users are following.

Been taking Ramipril (Winthrop)  1 x 5mg Tablet - Hypertension for 6 years along with Furosemide 1 x 40mg Tablet - CCF in morning.

Find after a few hours I become nausea which stuffs up day. Wears off in afternoon. Has any one else had side effects from this combination?

Graham, I'm sorry I haven't got any experience with Furosemide but I did have to stop taking Ramipril because of nausea.  Have you checked with the pharmacist for contraindications - always the best place to start as, due to their training, they know more about drug compatibility than GPs.  Also check for compatibility between any other herbal or OTC meds you might be taking.  If it were me, I would be asking the GP to try a different combination.

Sorry to hear you are suffering.  Glad to say that for the short time I took Ramipril I definitely did not suffer any nausea.  Hope you soon feel better - go back to your Doctor!
