Long term threadworms- I am going to see a specialist.

Hello everyone, i am new to this forum.

first of all, i really feel for all of you, threadworms is a freaking nightmare.

Ive cought threadworms 8 months ago, and I can't get rid of them ever since. I've take mulptiple doses of Mebandazole, pyrantel pamoate and 2 doses of albendazole.

whenever i take the medication, the anal itching slighly subsidies but doesnt fully go away. After a few DAYS the itching is intense again. It has no effect on vaginal itching though, it remains just as intense even after meds. I've tried so many remedies as well and nothing is helping.

I am so depressed over this and i just cant go on any longer... I think about this everyday and it has affected my life so much!!

One lady in the older posts has recommended a specialist in London, dr. Vas Novelli and i will be trying to book an appointment with him (might have to wait a while due to Covid). Has any of you seen a specialist or a doctor and had success?

please let me know, also feel free to message me if you need any support/want to talk about it

Ive had them at least 8 months as well. i have done everything that you're supposed to do, and taken all the meds. But they just dont leave.

This has now consumed my life. I am super depressed, and have not been intimate with husband for a long time, because eww.

theyve travelled to my vagina, even though my doc said that's not possible. He referred me to an infectious disease specialist, who refused to take me as a patient!!! My stool samples came back negative, even though you can clearly see them!

    Im seriously at a loss.

i hope the specialist helps and will be looking for an update.
