Long term use of sertraline and effects on libido...

Hi folks,

I have been on lustral 200mg daily for approximately 10 years.  I have recently decided to again try and come off the tablets for various reasons...However I want to ask a general question to long term and short term users of the drug. Do you find this effects libido and sex drive massively? I realise that the general opinion is yes, just want to ask.

As it definitely has with me!!!

Hi, I'm 7 wks into sert, I think it effects libido somewhat but my finding is it moreso effects quality of orgasm which is much less intense and over quicker rolleyes

I'm interested that u refer to it as lustral...is the brand important at all? I've had a few brands so far, neither being lustral?!

    Best wishes x

Hi Kiki!  Thank you for posting smile With me it's just generally feeling a-sexual, I suppose it effects everyone differently though. I am not sure why I called it lustral as opposed to sertraline but I have only ever been on the lustral brand. Avoid it though. It makes you never-want-to-have-sex!
