Long wait for refill, then resumed taking dose

It took a week for me to get my meds after running out. I am on 40mg a day dose of Celexa. After 6 days, I went down hard but was glad when my refill was ready. I was dumb enough to think that I can pick up a refill right away after running out.

I resumed the 40 mg dose right away and while the anxiety has lessened, the depression is still there and is still crippling me. Do you all think I need to wait more time for it to settle? I will never let this happen again!!!! I will email my dr tomorrow to let her know what has happened.

Hoping that someone can assure me that it will be ok. Today is the 6th day that I resumed the dose.Never again will I let this happen!

    Because you missed taking your med for six days you more than likely started withdrawal symptoms and when you restarted you had start up symptoms. 40 mg is the maximum dose so it's quite strong therefore I would assume your side effects reflect your high dose. These meds need to be taken regularly at the same time each day, missing doses causes all sorts of problems. If I have forgotten to take one dose I pay for it. Good luck!
