I'd suggest joining a dance clug (of the non-commercial variety) or a dance class run by your local adutl education college. The following organisations can point you in the direction of clubs that run weekly classes. Expect to pay about £3-£4 per class including refreshments (but some clubs are much cheaper). Usually your first visit is free.

Travelling for work is hard on your fitness level. There are lots of ways you could exercise while on the road. Running is the quickest way to keep your fitness level up. No equipment needed, most hotels have treadmills or running tracks or just a place to run. Just walk out your door and go. So easy. If your not there yet, then walking also does the job-walk fast or uphill to get your heart rate going. You can do it anywhere (walking I mean). The airport, the car rental, large office buildings, large hotels-they all have lots of room to walk. Take the stairs, take the long way. You could also buy a DVD or use an APP for an exercise routine to your liking and do it in the evenings. I also think yoga and pilates are great to keep up your flexibility and posture while on the road. All can be done at your leisure in the privacy of your hotel room in the evenings.Hope this helps. Remember..... Exercise is the fountain of youth!!!

working people have no time. But if you maintain a schedule work you can do every thing. I f you rise up in the early morning and walk at least 1 hr. you can maintain your health. Also you take meal plan for weight loss and maintain the diet. this will be also beneficial for you and you can easily maintain your health.

I don't see the connection between the multinational nature of the company and your not having time to take exercise. I can only assume that you are working excessive hours. I think this is an issue to take up with our union rep.

Having said that, I would suggest walking at least part of the way to work and spending your lunch hour walking, if possible outdoors. At the weekend, find some hobbies that are both physically demanding and enjoyable. You might also try asking your colleagues in other countries what they do to keep fit.

It depends if you are looking to loose weight or just increase your fitness levels. If it is the first then a combination of diet and exercise is needed, but if it is primarily fitness you are concerned about then I would recommend joining some kind of group class. Something like yoga, or a more intense type of exercise class like bodypump. Most gyms will offer classes like these and they are great in winter when you don't want to be running outside in the cold!

    Emily Johnson,

I have news for you. Running is out. Runners are not fit and the further you run the less healthy you become. Fitness is based on acquiring a good cardiorespiratory health. It takes twelve minutes a week all in one session for strength training, body building and complete fitness. So Google HIIT or HIT and get the scoop. You can do this in a gym or do as I and my wife and I do with a Barbell and weights. Jumping up and down in the gym for hours and pounding your knees hips and ankles is out!

My wife and I still run short distances like 5k or 10 k and due to advanced age nearly always win our age group! Any questions, just ask.

I bought a Fitbit One steps tracker to keep a proper account of all my steps and I aim for at least 10 steps per day which is about 4 - 5 miles a day. If I can manage more I do and it's made a dramatic difference to my weight, in fact I started losing after just a week! Mostly though, it keeps me fit and that's what is most important.

If you get yourself one it tracks every single step you take, gives you that in miles and keeps an account of all the flights of stairs or inclines that you do. Go to You Tube and see reviews or to Fitbit's web site and see a clip of video. You can, if you wish, choose people from the on-line forum to keep you motivated and it'll link through to myfitnesspal so you can keep a check on your intake and calories burned.

    All the very best!

    Hi Emily

Does this mean that you actually work long hours and probably but the time you knock off it's rather to late to go to the gym? If I understand you well you want to hold on to your job without comprimising your health and exercising is not an option at this point right.

Then this simply means you'll have to watch what you eat. Do regular check ups for those common ailments like cholesterol level, sugar level and blood pressure.

Where you cannot cook a healthy meal then I suggest you get supplements to combat any deficiency.
