sorry you are going through this. I know how horrible it can be believe me! What were the specific symptoms in your head?

it’s very difficult for doctors to diagnose anxiety because they can’t actually see what’s going on unlike a broken leg or something like that.

As far as medication goes, it really is hit or miss. There’s no one specific medication that works on everybody. Most people have to try several different ones before they find the right one and there are some people who can’t even handle the medication or it doesn’t work. medical science has a ways to go to really help people with anxiety and all the sensations that go along with it. There’s no magic bullet.

but you can do some things to help decrease the amount of sensations you get in your head or elsewhere. I’ve had anxiety since childhood and I’m in my 60s now. The sensations started in my late 20s and I thought I had some. Deadly neurological disease, which I did not, but it felt like it. Doctors weren’t much help so I had to learn on my own how to feel better.

One of the things I learned along the way it was that if I sat around and kept over, thinking things, and worried about it, all the sensations would get worse and intensify.

I had to accept that I had this anxiety and really had to relax my mind as much as possible.

Exercise really settled things down for me.

I also started listening to meditations for anxiety which were very comforting. and also breathing exercises that are the key to calming things down. Found on YouTube.

When I would get a negative thought, or a sensation, I would not fight it. I would allow it, and then picture it drifting off, and I would get busy with something else. I basically ignore any sensations. I definitely don’t get them like I used to, only when I have anxiety about something, but they really don’t stick around. but in the beginning when I was in my late 20s, they were constant! I mean all the time!

I also stopped caffeine, sugar, junk foods. Those things are all inflammatory in nature, and they would wreak have it on the nervous system.

I got counseling once every few weeks, which was great, and I learned a lot of things that way.

you can definitely feel better! Sometimes we just have to let go of the fear and overthinking in order to manage this. I would definitely suggest counseling. Virtual counseling works great also. I had to get out of the fight mode like I was going to defeat it that way, but it doesn’t work that way.

I will send you a private message.
