Looking for advice regarding the process of getting diagnosed

Hi everyone. I came to this site seeking advice. I was told quite a few years ago that I have an enlarged thyroid. It was confirmed by an ultrasound. But no treatment has been done. I have a doctors appointment this coming week and I want to be fully evaluated because I feel like everything has been glossed over. I'm overweight....lose weight the doctor says. Tried. Have been trying for god knows how long. No success. No sex drive. Maybe you're depressed? Yeah I'm depressed because I'm overweight and eat healthy and have no sex drive. My skin is super dry and I want to be asleep all the time. And I have crazy anxiety.
What are the right things to say and not say to get the attention that something might actually be wrong with my enlarged thyroid? What results should I be looking for and take to a different doctor if my doctor tells me there is nothing to see?
Thank you all for the help in advance.

I would have the dr run a complete thyroid panel on you. Did they do thyroid blood tests at the time the enlarged thyroid was diagnosed? If so then post those results and ranges. You can request any tests that you want because you are po saying for them. Tell the doctor that you are having alot of low thyroid symptoms and you want it to be checked again. Make sure that it is not just tsh but to check free t4, free t3, rt3 and antibodies against thyroid. That will explain alot because as your thyroid becomes diseased it will put bursts of hormone into your system which would explain anxiety as well. If the doctor will not help to figure out what is going on then definitely find a different doctor.

Ask for a full thyroid panel blood work. Also ask for a nutritional deficiencies panel. You may find this helpful.
Ask for a referral to an endocrinologist.
I dont kniw hiw to get through to a doctor. Just explain how you’ve been feeling and tgat you think it could be related to the enlarged thyroid. The doc will either redpond well or not. Whether the doc helps you has littke to do with you and everything to do with their knowledge base. So dont take it personally.
You might ask ask for a referral to an endocrinologist, and just say you'd like to get another opinion on the thyroid enlargement.
Oh, and just so you know, an enlarged thyroid is caused by hypothyroid disease. So if your thyroid gland is enlarged, it means you’re hypothyroid.
