Looking for people's experiences with using Bowen therapy in PMR/GCA.

I'm sure you all know how I support trying the use of Bowen therapy alongside the more traditional (i.e. steroid) approach for PMR. I would never try to claim it works for the underlying cause or the PMR itself but I do believe it helps with what I call "The Add-ons" that most of us experience at some time or other.

A new member, Sarah, is interested in feedback so please could we all say our piece, whether it worked for you or not.

Thanks folks!!

Eileen, you were the one who mentioned Bowen Therapy in a post about 2 years ago which I read and thought, nothing ventured nothing gained ... after the first session I reported back that I was in bed by 9.30pm and slept for 9 hours, unheard of!   The first time one goes for treatment it feels so gentle, with every specific move followed by a couple of minutes interval you do begin to wonder if anything's going on at all, but if the therapist knows her stuff which mine certainly does you can ask what it is that's happening, I've learnt a lot (I'm not into tinkly music while dribbling through the hole in the massage table).  Also, I didn't feel like a wet dishcloth at the end, just very relaxed both mentally and physically.  I've been for 2 top-ups since then and would recommend trying it to anyone who's interested.  I've bought 3 sessions for my hard-working daughter for a Christmas present!
