Looking for sleeping pill without morning grogginess

I have imovaine, but I feel groggy in the morning when taking it. I can fall asleep with melatonin but wake up 2-3 hours later & can't sleep. I'm looking for a prescription pill that won't make me feel so groggy in the morning. Thanks

Hi Christi Stilnox doesn't make me groggy and is the only thing that remotely works for me even if I do have to take over recommended dose (my Dr knows) everyone is different though. Temazepam and Mogadon have short half lives so may not leave you groggy but may not keep you asleep either. I have spent a goid couple if hours going through diff options with my doc. Unfortunately for me what he think would be great fir me has been banned due to bring used by some cretins as date rape drug and other option I have ti have a terminal illness 😢

I had never heard of this drug...so thanks for educating me....sadly, just read about it and I personally can't take it due to some of the conditions that I have and it is not suggested for me.

Maybe take more Melatonin in the middle of the night when you wake up?

    Hi,

I have been prescribed zopiclone in the past which was great, but have seen you can't take it.

I have also been prescribed Amitriptyline (for the pain I had when I had my contraceptive coil inserted), but it is also a sedative. It used to be used as an antidepressant but is now used at much lower doses for abdominal pain and a sleep aid.

I have found that different doctors have alternative suggestions so maybe try booking a different GP.
