Looking for the Treatment of De-addiction of Alcohol

Posted , 5 users are following.

Hi Everyone,

I have been drinking regularly for the last 2 years. When I try to stop drinking, my whole body feels weak. I don’t want to talk to anyone and feel like rubbish all the time. But I really want to quit this habit and want to start my happy life again.

If anyone from you also feels the same then share your experiences. Also, suggest the best treatment for this. I will be very grateful for any advice.

Hi there I'm not sure where you live but if you're in the UK I would suggest seeing your GP. Drinking could be masking another problem like depression (although drinking actually makes it worse long term). Your GP can help with this if this is the case. They can also refer you to specialist alcohol services near you who will do an assessment and from there decide on the best treatment. Good luck 😃

    Hi Partik,

I know how frustrated you must feel, going round and round the same circle knowing that the only thing that makes your body feel better is having another drink. What are your levels like at the moment and when/what are you drinking? There are lots of different methods to help yourself cut down or eventually stop and they all have to start somewhere. This is a great forum to connect with people in the same situation or have been there before. Would be great if you could share some more details. Feel free to PM if it makes you feel more comfortable 😃 AL

Hi Partik and welcome. As others have asked, we need much more information from you please. Seeing a GP is also a good idea. You need a plan!
