Loose stools for 2 years and lost weight

Hi all,

I have been having loose stools since my second child was born, 2 and half years ago, it started of with contraction type pains that came in waves. It was so painful and then diarrhea. I thought it was a stomach bug but it kept coming back every month and sometimes I would soil myself. Fast forward to this year I am having loose stools every day, worse in the morning, I get this burning pain and then I have to go to the toilet. My stools are yellow, no blood. I have lost 2 stone. I have been to my doctors and I had all my bloods taken, they was clear. The doctor has referred me to have a colonscopy but I can't get an appointment yet. I had a fit test on my stools for blood, no blood which is good news. I am also being reffered for an ECG as I have been having a strange feeling in my chest and my resting heart rate is 100bpm. I don't know if this is related or not. Since having my bowel problems I have suffered with pins and needles in my feet constantly every day. Does this sound like IBS? I am new to learning about ibs but i would like to hear other people's symptoms and experiences. Sorry for the long post.

hi kim, o.m.g poor you that sounds terrible! what has kicked this off? is baby o.k? have you had any stress, oh ha ha, apart from a new baby? that's not great, if you have severe stomach issues initially they could have kicked off loads of issues. try to determine what could have caused this and meddle with your food, try bit by bit adding things in like probiotics, drink lots of clear liquids, try bland, simple easy foods for a bit and keep a food diary. good luck you poor thing! look after yourself....🤞
