Hi there,

I was wondering whether anyone has used this allergy medication and noticed that they have gained weight?

Thanks!

Hello, I take a daily Citrizine antihistamine and often wondered whether they make us

gain weight.  I go up and down by 2/3 lbs.  Not sure if it's the tablet or not.

I think I'll Google it and see what they say.  I think if they did cause weight gain it should

be written in the leaflet that comes with them.

If you're suffering from Rhinitis, are you using a steroid nasal spray ? this will help Post

Nasal Drip that we get from Rhinitis

Yes. Weight gain is a side effect of many antihistamines. Its precursor, older generation of antihistamine, ‘Cyproheptadine’, was used as an appetite stimulant.

Morning, It's all of the First Generation antihistamines that are certainly not good for

anyone to be taking. Benadryl is one of them.....not too sure about the Second

Generation tablets.  If they do cause weight gain and enough people message the

companies that produce them, it should them be written in the leaflets.
