Hi  Im on the same drugs only 50mg and 2.5 mg. Like most people I went through a list of drugs before I found one that worked and was tollerable which was losartan. I'd tried indapamide as a single drug with no side effects but no effect on my BP either. It belongs to a class of drugs called Thiazine like diuretics, but at the low doses used in hypertension it doesn't have much of a diuretic effect at all and seems to work as a vasobilator. When I read about it I found it does seem to come into its own when combined with other drugs and it certainly reduced my BP quickly. It works in a different way to the other drugs and while it has its own side effects it doesnt worsen the ones you get with the others, I think generally its better tollerated than most, so far I seem ok on it.

Thanks. Good to hear from somebody using same meds. Do you find it better to take your Losartan at night to reduce side effects impacting your day?

If so, do you take Lorvacs at night or in morning? Pam

I used to take the losartan at night but I think most people suggest that the indapamine should be taken in the morning. I take both in the morning now, doesn't seem to make any noticable difference to me, but as with all these things people are different. Try it and see. Hope it suits you ok. best wishes
