Anyone got any thing good to say about this particular tablet .Hope this one doesn't give me a cough again just got that settled after lisinopril.

Hi I think coughs are or can be a side effect of bp meds, my other half has been on enalapril for 16 years , he tried a few and this was the best with only the cough as a side effect and takes omezraprol to counteract cough, hope your new ones work for you

I've taken Losartan since 2001 and once my system got used to it I had no side effects. It was the sixth tablet that I had tried. All the others had given me bad side effects. You should not get a cough with it and it is not listed as a common side effect.  Initially it made me light headed when standing up quickly. That took a month or two to settle. I started on 50mg that was later increased to 100mg. I was taking Verapamil at the same time but that was later stopped after my heart valve was replaced as it brought my heart rate down too much.

I have played around with losartan taking in the morning and then at night or split the dose between morning and night.

My BP is always higher in the morning and taking it at night in theory should have made it lower in the morning but it didn't.

thanks for your reply derek I'm hoping these are good to me , this is my 4th tablet  , doc says not to worry there's plenty to try but I hate the side effects and am starting to feel like a guinea pig I dread taking them for fear of how they make me feel this is week one so I'll see how I go already making me feel dizzy and light headed quite spaced out

You could try taking them at night until your sysyem gets used to it.

myGP advised me to take my candesartan at night rather than the morning. I now have horrendous back ache and am wondering if this is yet another nasty side effect.
