Losartan just starting

I took my first tablet last night. Feel bit sick and dizzy thismorn, will this wear off anyone ? I hope so

    Hi Linda...I'd say at this stage of the game, it's too early to judge the medication.

    You just took your 1s tablet last night, or night-before-last as the case may be.

    Perhaps what you experienced is your body acknowledging something new.

    You really must give it a chance to do it's job. By all means, monitor whatever side effects you may have, & if they persist or worsten, then get back to your doctor. "Matron" said she felt much the same although it took her a few days to feel 'normal' again. So I'll repeat..new medication..you must give it a chance. 

    Be careful when standing up quickly until your body makes the adjustment.

      Hi Derek, yes a bit early, only 2 nd night, the nausea doesn't suprise me. Funny sensation in my arms. I have fibromyalgia, with a tablet that took away the arm pain. I just felt the arms since I started this Losartan , hoping it's nothing and will go. ..the Ramipril never sent my BP too low, it was always low/ high....but I'm on benzodiazepines that lower BP too, so I'll keep a check on it, will be glad when I get used to this one and hope I'm ok on it. ..I'm intolerant to inactive ingredients in drugs, it makes it difficult to know where I'm working with them. Thankyou for your help !

      Wise words mike. Don't give up yet Linda. Hypertension is a condition that needs to be treated. Hopefully you'll start to feel better soon.

      Have been on it a week now, only side effect I'm getting is tiredness..hard to wake up in the morn...my face is still swollen, which my Dr thought was due to becoming allergic to the a Ramipril I was on, she said it would take 3 weeks before I noticed any swelling going down, it didn't please me yesterday to see the swelling under eye worse..I'm hoping it is the pills, if it isn't it's going to be a nightmare trying to find out what's causing it,....
