Losing touch with reality

I've been having trouble with citalopram after 7 years on it I'm weaning myself of it and have just started sertraline yesterday. Anyways I've been pretty bad the past 3 months with severe panic and anxiety and I thought it was the mirtazapine I take, but I'm sure now it's the citalopram because after I take it i get panicky attacks. Anyways the past few months I've been feeling so disconnected from my body, just typing this is weird it don't look like my fingers! I feel like im in a bad constant dream and it scares me senseless which just feeds my anxiety. I can't leave the house because of all this trouble I'm having with medication...I just feel like I've lost touch with myself and reality and it is so disturbing 😢

It's probably you been on citalopram for so long your body has got used to them, ask your doctor if you can try something different.

    Hi Pamela,

I am so sorry to hear about what you are going through. I am glad you are reaching out for help.  I think your medication is not working for you. Tell your doctor what’s going and have him/her try a different treatment . Some medications work better then others. Keep trying until one work for you! Good luck !
