Hi Marisol, I lost 15 lbs last year...after stopping birth control pill. I am small already, and along with all the other symptoms, it scared me to death! I would feel very full after eating only a little and complete loss of appetite for 2 weeks. Had an endo and colonoscopy, both clear. Ended up having GERD after being hospitalized twice for heart palps and chest pain. Health anxiety sky high! It took me a year, but I am 5 lbs shy of were I was before. Very scary to lose weight when you do not want to!

hi, it is very common for your weight to fluctuate during peri. stomach issues are a symptom that can cause it and anxiety also. I wouldn't worry to much about it if you were given the all clear from your dr.

Yes, I have experienced all of this and more since I have been in peri. It is very frightening to lose weight suddenly especially when you have not been trying to. It happened to me four years ago and it took three years to get it back. Now I need to watch my weight because just like you lost the weight suddenly, it returns suddenly too without you trying. I have had fibroids and pelvic pain/lower back pain too and uti's. All of this is common in peri. If you have been given the all clear after doctors have run their tests then you can rest assured that hormones are the culprit of all of this. Try not to worry. Take care. Hope you are feeling better soon.

    Hi Mariso,

Sorry the hear your suffer from pain. I had the same experience, and found out it was my thyroid problem. You may check your thyroid to see if it is ok.

Do not fret too much about weight loss as it happens to us.

Not everybody but it for sure does.

I lost weight too, and have gained maybe 5 lbs back. It takes a bit of time

Dont worry just rule things out and be calm about it, you will be fine

    xoxo
